Let's Help the Forgotten Return Home
When we first heard about him, he was stranded at the Turkish border—alone, ill, and abandoned. A man from Jaffna who had journeyed to Iran in search of a better life, only to be deceived by agencies and left without support, without shelter, and without medication.
By the time we reached him, he was in critical condition. We managed to bring him back to Tehran, but within two days, his health deteriorated and he slipped into a coma. We rushed him to the hospital, where he remained under intensive care for two months.
Through constant support, relentless follow-ups, and heartfelt prayers, he slowly recovered. The medical expenses totaled over $6,000—a sum far beyond his reach. But we stood by him. We appealed to the highest authorities, negotiated tirelessly, and finally ensured his hospital bills were fully settled.
Today, he is safely back home in Jaffna, reunited with his family. We were with him through every hardship—and this is the kind of work Sheriselanka was built to do.
