Her father worked as a daily laborer. Her mother stitched clothes for neighbors to earn a few extra rupees. Despite their hard work, the family often struggled to pay even for her schoolbooks. But Nadeesha never let poverty dim her hope.

Nadeesha topped her school in the A/L exams and was selected to a prestigious state university to study biological sciences—a moment that brought her family to tears. But joy quickly turned to worry when they realized they couldn’t afford the travel, boarding, or basic tuition materials.

“She worked so hard. I didn’t want her to give up just because we had no money,” her mother said softly.

Through your support and our Girls’ Scholarship Program, we stepped in to fully sponsor Nadeesha’s university journey. We provided:

Today, Nadeesha is thriving in her first year. She tutors younger girls in her village on weekends and is already dreaming of pursuing a Master’s degree abroad one day.
